Last year I posted nine of my favorite recipes found on Pinterest, with the goal of sharing a few tried and true winners amongst friends. As I said then, pretty photos can be deceiving, and it’s often hard to tell if the caption “AMAZING RECIPE!!!” was added by my friend, whose taste I trust, or a pinner she re-pinned from six steps out, who might have terrible taste. In case you’ve seen any of the photos below floating around your Pinterest lately and wondered if they were any good, I’m here to vouch for them!

You can find the recipes for all nine of these tasty treats on this aptly-named Pinterest board (the recipes I haven’t tried yet go on this board).

If you have any go-to recipes you found on Pinterest (or anywhere, really!), I’d love for you to share the link! Anyone else tried any of these?

Even though we closed in mid-May, we actually just finished moving into our new house this weekend. (Since our apartment is pretty close, we’ve been taking over carloads whenever we visit, but this weekend we rented a truck and recruited some muscle for the big pieces!) One of my very favorite blogs is Young House Love, and I was so tickled to realize that we were both moving into new houses on pretty much the exact same timeline. Even though it makes me a bit anxious to look at these photos, I was inspired to share our right-now by their recent Day One post. Things can only improve from here! :)

The only thing we’ve done so far is paint the main room (“Simply White” by Benjamin Moore colormatched to Glidden) and the guest room (“Healing Aloe,” also by BM and also colormatched).

I completed all of my May goals except the household maintenance calendar/checklist. I’m pretty much done with it, but I thought it would be wise to get settled in the new house before finalizing and printing! Per request I will plan to share it here afterward.

On to June! This month I will…
— Finish moving and unpacking!
— Plan our July road trip to Michigan!
— Buy an American flag for our porch before the Fourth of July
— Build a raised bed
— Sharpen our knives. A sharp knife is a safe knife, after all :)
— Meet our three closest neighbors (and hopefully make a good impression!)
— Clear out the starred items in my Google Reader before it shuts down, and switch to another service (Feedly?)
