Stocking Stuffers + Persnickety Gifts Giveaway!

6 December 2022

Over 13+ years of working in the creative industry, I have amassed some extraordinarily talented friends – many of whom I’ve shared right here with you all over the years. It is a joy to watch them do what they do and get to cheer them on along the way! And today, I have the extra delight of sharing a giveaway from one of my favorite duos, the gals behind Persnickety Gifts.

They’re smart, they’re funny, and they speak straight to the heart of the “pretty good mom” with their done-for-you stockings and other holiday baskets. If you love the idea of shopping small, curating thoughtful gifts, and creating everyday magic for your littles, but don’t have the patience, know-how, bandwidth, and/or desire to make it happen, this is for you!

Their done-for-you stockings couldn’t be easier: you choose your child’s age and gender on their website, and they send you a neatly-packaged bundle of goodies ready to tuck into their stocking on Christmas Eve. No paying shipping from 15 retailers or breaking down 15 boxes – just handpicked delights from small and lovable businesses. (And no weird surprises, either – you can see everything that will be included right in the listing!)

So fun, yes? And lucky for us, Persnickety was kind enough to let me give away one done-for-you stocking! Just leave a comment here with the gift you’re most excited to give this holiday, and which stocking bundle you’d choose (age + gender – and of course, you don’t have to follow their recommendations! I got Shep the 5-7 bundle even though he’s 4.). Consider following Persnickety on Instagram or signing up for their newsletter for a little holiday magic throughout the year, if you’d like.

I’ll choose a winner on Friday! If you’re too excited to wait, go ahead and use code EMILY for free shipping on any order :)

Before we go, let’s talk about the grown-ups for a moment. Do grown-ups get stockings in your house, too? If so, here are a few of my favorite ideas, some of which will be appearing in my own house this Christmas morning…

— The best conversation cards
— Gorgeous hand-painted book stickers for your water bottle or laptop
— Olive wood scoop set
— The best sunscreen
— Gardening clippers
— A coil of fairy lights
— Pretty floral playing cards
— Citrus simmering kit or citrus rose bath salts
— Stasher reusable bags
— A classic chocolate orange

— Fancy gold spoons or fancy gold chip clips
— Needlepoint zip code keychain
— A book mug
— Everything But the Bagel seasoning

— A USB rechargeable lighter (in rose gold! and other colors)
— Blue light glasses

— Silk pillowcases
— A charcuterie board styling deck
— An odor-absorbing bar
— Papermate Flair pens – my favorite for PowerSheets and writing notes – perfect tip and colors!

Thank you so much to Julie + Irene for letting me share this giveaway! I hope you win! :)

Love this stocking stuffer idea, so creative and practical! If I won I would pick the girl ages 5-7 bundle, but they are all so cute! This Christmas, I am most excited to dress up and take my niece to the Nutcracker (her gift)!

I can’t WAIT to give my girl her very first American Girl doll! I’d love to include the Persnickety girls 5-7 stocking set – what an adorable collection of goodies!

I’m so excited for my toddler to get her first bike! We just got her a Retrospec balance bike in the prettiest pink to get her started! If I won, I’d probably choose the 0-1.5 yo girl set! My youngest is hard to buy for since she’s got a big sister just a year and a half older!

Awesome!! I love this!! I am most excited to give my boys some new paw patrol toys :) I have two boys, 3 and 6 so that’s the bundle I would choose!!! Thank you!!

This is my daughter’s first Christmas, so I’m so excited to give her the Pottery Barn chair I got for her! It was a splurge but I know she’ll get plenty of use out of it over the years. She’ll be 10 months on Christmas, so I know she’s going to love crawling all over it. I would get the girl 0-1.5 bundle, of course!

We got tickets to take our kids to see Bluey in person so I’m excited to gift that experience. And I would choose the girls 5-7 bundle.

December 6, 2022 10:15 am

I have a 9-week-old baby boy, so I’d choose the 0-1.5 boy stocking! The gift I’m most excited to give this year is my mom’s. We got her a beautiful locket from Monica Vinader that is engraved inside and will have a photo of baby in it. She’s been such a huge help to us since our boy arrived and I wanted to get her something extra special.
Looking forward to clicking through your stocking stuffer recs too, Emily! Thanks for the fun giveaway.

Well, we just adore you. Thank you for cheering us on. We can’t wait to hear how Shep and June react to their stocking stuffers AND we can’t wait to see who wins!! ????

I’m most excited to give my kids their joint gift of a Holy Land play mat and small Jesus, Mary and Joseph dolls to accompany it. I would go for the 1.5-4 Girls bundle as there is something for each of my three kids to treasure.

I always love learning about small businesses from you – thank you for sharing! This year I’m really excited to give Southern Baked Pies (another small, female owned business). They are so tasty and helpful when you don’t feel like making a meal. My favorite stocking set is the boy (5-7) my kids would both enjoy all the goodies!

I already gave one of my favorite gifts: I found a Sesame Street book Advent Calendar for our Ernie-loving middle child and she’s been obsessed with reading a new book each day. I’d get the 0-1.5 girl stocking for our youngest. It’s hard to think of gift ideas for a fourth child and the stocking stuffers all look adorable!

Love this! I’m so excited to watch my 2.5 year old open his gifts as this is the first Christmas where he’ll know what’s going on and will get excited about unwrapping!

I’d pick the 1.5-4 year boy! I’m giving personalized embroidered sweatshirts of my father in laws race car to all the men on my husbands side. They can all wear their matching sweatshirts at the race track!

Ohhh I’d give my oldest daughter the 5-7 year old girl stocking. That little poodle purse is so sweet!
I’m excited to give my girls art supplies and new water bottles in their favorite colors. I’m also excited to give my husband pint glasses with a map of our city painted on them that I found from our local bookstore!

I think I’m most excited to give my daughter a tutu and a pair of butterfly wings from Sarah’s Silks. She’s a sweetheart dancer in the middle of three brothers, and it’s just always special to give her something where I’ve thrown the hand-me-down cares out the window and just bought her something obviously just for her! I’d probably choose the girl 5-7 stocking for just that reason, it can be hard to buy nicer things that are so overtly “girl” themes!

We have other “more exciting” gifts, but your question made me realize I’m most excited to give our daughter the $6 Biscuit’s Snowy Day book we got her…she is obsessed with dogs and playing outside! I’d choose the 1.5-4 girls’s stocking for her.

I’m most excited to give my 3 kiddos a trip to the children’s museum. If I could choose a stocking, I’d choose girl 1.5-4!

This is a cute idea and I would love to win! This is my baby’s first Christmas and while he won’t remember any of it, I am excited to give him a new book and new pjs I have been wanting for him :)
If I won, I would pick the boy ages 0-1.5 years bundle.

I love these stocking stuffers! My son is 15 months old, so I would buy the boy 1.5-4 year old bundle. I am so excited to give my son his large water table this christmas!

These are so fun! I’d get the boys 1.5-4 for my son, ward!
I’m so excited to gift my son a cozy coup! :)

These are such cute and practical ideas! I see so many stocking stuffer lists that are either too pricy or too big to even fit in the stocking. I’m pretty excited about the magnetic tile ball run expansion set we’re giving the kids this year. I’d probably pick the 5-7 girl set, but they’re all so good!

What a fun idea! My 2 year old daughter would LOVE the 1.5-4 year old girl bundle!! I’m excited for her to unwrap her first big baby doll (she’s been asking for one!) and a set of kid friendly knives because she loves helping in the kitchen!!

Well I still have some shopping to do. I’m excited about a custom ornament in memory of my father in law to my mother in law. An either id do the adult stocking or the 1.5-4 for boys.

I can’t wait to see my husband’s face when he opens his iRobot vacuum. He’s been wanting one forever.
Those Persnickety stocking bundles are the cutest – I’d pick the girl, 1.5-4.

We just bought our first home this fall and welcomed our third child two weeks later. I am excited to get my husband, who has been waiting years to have a big yard of his own, some heirloom vegetable seeds to inspire his new garden planning. I would choose the baby boy stocking stuffers as I know his big sisters will love to see what Santa brings to baby brother :)
