Giveaway: Em for Minted!

9 December 2011

I promise not every post will be titled “Em for ______,” but this one was just too good to resist! To celebrate my new blog home, Minted has kindly agreed to give away a gift certificate worth $75 to one lucky reader!

I’ve chosen to highlight Minted’s holiday cards here, but the $75 can go towards anything on the Minted site, including save the dates, brand new personalized journals (so cute for gifts!), personal stationery, or business/calling cards. I’m sure the winner will be delighted with whatever he or she chooses; I can’t say enough about Minted’s designs, quality, or customer service.

To enter: There are three ways to enter.

1. Visit the Minted site, then leave a comment telling me what you would spend the $75 on if you won.

2. Subscribe to the new Em for Marvelous feed, then leave a SEPARATE comment telling me you did so.

3. Post a link to this giveaway in your Facebook status and then leave a SEPARATE comment telling me you did so.

This giveaway will close next Friday, December 16. I’ll draw a random winner and let you know who’s taking home the goods the following Monday!

Welcome to Em for Marvelous!

8 December 2011

Welcome to Em for Marvelous! I’m so, so happy you’re here!

What do you have to look forward to? Why, everything you loved about P&P, and then some: bigger, more beautiful inspiration boards, fun new features, and many more wedding updates. In the next few weeks alone I’ve got gift guides, holiday inspiration boards, AND my newly painted and upholstered chairs to share with you!!

Why the change? Since the beginning, my blog has been about sharing the things I adore, and I wanted a name and a framework that reflected that. Peach & Pearl didn’t say enough to me about what this blog is all about, which is why I’m so happy about the tagline for Em for Marvelous: “sharing the marvelous people, places, and things I love.” Exactly! Plus, the new colors just make me happy.

Color inspiration I collected for Em for Marvelous — check out the Pinterest board here!

Now let’s get to it! I have an awesome giveaway coming up tomorrow from one of my favorite companies, so I hope you’ll come back to enter! In the meantime, I would love to hear what you think about my new digs!

P.S. If you’d like to subscribe to the EFM feed, you can do so by clicking here, or on the icon in the right sidebar!

P.P.S. Huge thanks to Brooke and her team at Curious & Company, who brought my ideas to life. They are wonderful!!

Wreaths

1 December 2011

Feeling inspired by pretty holiday wreaths today, on the first day of December! A few of my favorites:

The only thing better than one wreath is three, of course!

Love these pretty silver stars, and this would be such an easy accent for a store-bought wreath. I see chipboard stars like this all the time in Michael’s, and you could easily paint or glitter them your favorite metallic color.

Creative Decorations

These petite wreaths hung in the windows are classic and chic.

This cushion moss wreath is perennially one of my favorites. This image alone is so inspiring to me, with the creamy whites and soft greens! A gorgeous Christmas palette.

And here’s the wreath on our front door:

Still conflicted about the bow… thoughts?
