Board No. 24: Spring Fling

23 March 2009

{Click image to enlarge!}

Since last Friday was the first day of spring, I thought I’d start off the week with a punchy pastel party. The color palette is all over the board – pale pink, rosy pink, yellow, gold, white, aqua, green, black, brown – but a stunning location (here, a shabby chic barn) is enough to pull the look together. The bride wears gold ballet flats under a simple sheath dress, dessert or intermezzo sorbet is served in silver footed dishes, and sparkling chandeliers hang down the center of one long table. A black bouquet and the dark center of anemones cut the sweetness just enough.

P.S. Since I always enjoy seeing the sources of others’ inspiration: the photo below from the J. Crew catalog was the original image for this board. As you can see, I went a little brighter and a little deeper but kept the black.

And as always, if you like what you see here, let me make you a custom inspiration board! Check out the details here and purchase here!
