New year, new topics!
Hi, friends! How is the new year treating you so far? John and I went on a 30-mile bike ride yesterday and it was COLD – we couldn’t feel our toes at the end! Time to invest in some full-length bike pants, I suppose :)
Like I mentioned, John and I have a date tonight to dream a bit about 2015, and I’m not going to decide or post anything about goals until after (come back on Monday for that!). In the meantime, I thought I’d try something I’ve never done before, and open up the floor a bit. I’m very eager to hear if there’s anything YOU would like me to write about this year. It could be a Marvelous Money topic, something about weddings, something about me… whatever! Any general feedback is welcome, too – which posts do you skip over? Which do you always love? Any favorites from the year?
To get your wheels turning, here are a few things you can look forward to in the weeks to come:
— our system for exercise
— Natalie + Joe’s wedding!
— how we plan for travel
— our favorite sermons
— I will finally (attempt to) answer the MOST requested Marvelous Money post of all time!
I would love, love, LOVE to hear from you, friends!!
Your blog always brings such joy and insight! I’d love to see more of your house/decorating tips and would LOVE a more in depth look into the resources you use to always plan the perfect vacation (you seriously have a gift!). Looking forward to 2015!
I love your marvelous money tips! As a student I’d love to hear even more about your journey of paying off student loans as I’ll be starting on that journey in the near future.
@Katie Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely be posting some in-depth tips about travel planning, but spoiler alert, most of it is thanks to John! Maybe he should guest blog? :)
I’m excited to read whatever you choose to write about! I would love for you to do a series on lessons that you learned and advice that you have for young women who are beginning to establish themselves outside of college. From your internship experience with the Knot (even though that was during your undergrad studies) to moving to North Carolina, and opening an Etsy shop. I really respect the way you approach purposeful living and it would be helpful to hear a retrospective look on steps that you took during those earlier seasons from where you are now :)
Hi Em, I like reading about how others balance life and work. I often feel that work is (or should be) everything, leaving me feeling like I don’t have a life. I like hearing about your hobbies and other pursuits and how that works in your life and if/how it improves your life.
Anything and everything is good for me – sorry, I know that doesn’t help! x
Emily, i love that you’ll write about your favorite sermons! I’m always curious about how others organize their quiet time during the week. I love to have my quiet time in the mornings after brekky and before the day starts but sometimes life is just so busy. I would love to read how you do it if you would like to share them :) Happy new year! xx Kristina
I would love to see a few more “What We Eat” posts! After watching forks over knives I am also interested in consuming less meat and focusing more on whole foods.
I also love all of your Marvelous Money posts!
You always take the best pictures and they seem to be of really good quality! I would love to know what you use? Do you use a real camera or your phone? I would love to see a post about how you go about taking pictures!
I also really enjoy the Marvelous Money post and house decorating post!
