Love red and orange, and love the idea of bowls of cherries and brightly colored citrus fruits as centerpieces. Lots of patterns in this board, too, from the seating chart by Cheree Berry to the fabric homemade jam jars. Who’s ready for summer?

Inspired by the image in the top left corner, this board’s focus is on fruit and flowers — yellow tomatoes, fuchsia peonies, red raspberries, and purple green kale. Very summery, don’t you think? I love the idea of raspberries and blackberries sprinkled around the base of votive candles, and of peaches as place cards. The pop of purple is unexpected with the warm reds and oranges and cool greens, but I’m liking it here.

P.S. Just have to share a few more from the wedding behind the top left image. AMAZING. See more here!

This board is definitely different from my usual — in fact, in general, I tend to steer far clear of red + black (it just looks garish too often for my taste). But ever since I saw the top left image on Creature Comforts, this wedding has been brewing in my mind. A celebration of textures and patterns, with a few cute bows added in for good measure. I love how the loops on the silverware, invitations, honey jars, and wrist corsages all mimic each other. And the layered red velvet cake, of course — who could resist?

After last week’s somewhat austere board, and this past weekend’s buckets of sunshine, I couldn’t resist a board that incorporated yellow. The super-saturated hue here (reminds me of a glass of orange juice!) plays nicely with cool garden green. A trim, blooming cake, over-sized bows, and a yellow wedding dress work well as accents for this summertime garden party.
