Polka dot gift bags
I was in Target the other day for something else when these pretties caught my eye. Aren’t they lovely? I adore the metallic gold accent.
They’d probably be fairly easy to DIY, but at $.79 for two, it’s almost not worth it!

What are you up to this weekend? We will be working in our church’s garden and maybe going to an outdoor concert, but I kind of wish we had reservations at Treehouse Point. Doesn’t it look amazing? If I ever get to Seattle, I am definitely spending at least one night here — it’s just 30 minutes outside of the city, but must feel a world away.
You can see more gorgeous photos on Tec Petaja’s blog here!
Hellebores are one of my new favorite flowers. (They’re also known as the Christmas rose.) They’re one of the few winter and early spring blooming plants, which unfortunately means I probably won’t be able to get them for our wedding in September — but that’s great news for cold weather brides! Here’s what these pretty flowers look like:

They come in lots of white, pink, green, and purple shades, and can be solid or speckled. Here are a few of my favorite arrangements with hellebores:

It’s time for our second mini food installment (see part I here)! Diminutive treats are especially on my mind because we are meeting with three caterers next week, AND I just ordered a copy of Peter Callahan’s new book, Bite by Bite! (Have any of you seen it yet??)
Mini gruyere macaroni and cheese cups
Mini deep dish pizzas (baked in a muffin pan!)
Mini individual crudites served in hollowed-out bread bowls
Mini Greek salads and beet and radish salads
Are you a mini food lover as well? :)
