Once in Michigan, we stopped at the darling empire known as Cherry Republic. I was floored by their graphic design – isn’t it amazing? I was also impressed by their singular focus on the cherry – they sold cherry salsa, cherry soap, cherry hot chocolate, 12 kinds of cherry ice cream, cherry wood products, 6 kinds of cherry soda, cherry wine, etc. See for yourself here.

The White Elephant is a small, luxurious bed and breakfast on Nantucket, and that’s where I picture this wedding taking place – there, or on the back lawn of that rose-covered cottage up there on the left. Wouldn’t it be amazing to rent a huge old house with family and friends and then celebrate your wedding on its grounds at the end of the week?
I think the combination of pale blue and pink is so sweet and vintage-looking, with just enough prep to give the celebration some zip. Think men in blue-and-white seersucker (with bowties!), the bride in organza polka dots, and tables decked in milk glass vases, ruffly garden roses and peonies, and heirloom, hand-me-down china plates collected from relatives and friends. A vintage pink typewriter {ohhh how I want one!} standing in for a guest book is a fabulous detail that guests will talk about all night.

Good morning, friends! I had a lovely, unexpectedly long weekend {Friday was a sort of half day…}, which gave me plenty of time to work on a few projects that I can’t wait to share with you. Inspiration board first, however – and that’s coming right up!
P.S. Isn’t this photo amazing? The house, yes, but then the balloons on top of that? I die.
