Austin Warnock Since my last update… — John had his individual meeting with our pastor. I have mine on Monday! — We attended our tasting (yum!) and are in the process of making a few adjustments to our menu — We had a venue walk-through with our florist and made what I think will be the final adjustments to our order — We met with our chapel coordinator. She is a little bit scary. — John’s tux has been tailored and looks awesome! — Kate and I attempted a trial cake… more about that soon :) — We collected the final silver pieces, and they all look great! — We bought part of John’s gift for his groomsmen — We purchased our wedding bands – going to pick them up this weekend! — We bought ottomans, coffee tables, and candles at Ikea Next up on the list? — I’m sad that our invitations haven’t been sent yet, but they’re arriving this week, so I should have them out the door soon! Envelopes have already arrived. — My final dress fitting is coming up soon — We need to finalize the text for our ring bearer bowl — I want to nail down all of our ceremony music so I can send it to our pianist, string trio, and soloist. I would also like to finalize readings. — I need to collect the rest of our family wedding photos, to be displayed at the reception — I’m going to make a few signs to help direct guests from the ceremony to the reception — I’m going to make a set of drink stirrers for my own wedding! :)

Christian Oth via Style Me Pretty Since my last update… — We had our first conversation with our pastor, who will lead our ceremony. It was pretty quick, but we made arrangements to meet twice more with him – once individually (gulp!), and then once more together. — We ordered John’s suspenders and bought his shoes – post coming up soon about his accessories — We revised our cocktail hour and reception menu in advance of our tasting at the end of the month — We also revised our floral order in advance of our upcoming venue walk-through – excited! — We booked the third night of accommodations for our minimoon (feeling pretty good about our second night’s accommodations, since Meredith texted me that I would love them when she visited, without knowing we had already booked them!) — Marget and I bought some more decor that we’ll share – so nice to be planning alongside someone with similar style! :) Marget also kindly bought me some additional ribbon with a voucher I had for MJ Trimming. — We reserved a pianist for our ceremony – an old friend from whom I took piano lessons when I was younger — I discarded the idea of paper flowers (too time-consuming for a project I wasn’t enthralled by), but found something even better to replace them! — I’ve started whitening my teeth – whoo! No sensitivity yet – keep your fingers crossed! — The bridesmaid dresses arrived! Next up on the list? — It’s going to be a big month! We have a walk-through at both of our venues, a tasting with our caterer, a meeting with our chapel coordinator, and my bridal shower! — We’re taking John’s tux to be tailored today — We still need to make some major decisions

It is highly unlikely that there will be cake smashing at our wedding, but I love this photo anyway :) Chudleigh Weddings via Snippet & Ink Since my last update… — I’ve begun scanning photos for our slideshow (we picked the songs months ago – so excited about them!!) — I printed our marriage certificate and guest book cards — We’ve started brainstorming for our first dance song — I designed a few paper pieces that will go in our welcome bags/boxes, and have begun thinking about what said bags/boxes will look like (and whether, in fact, they will be bags or boxes) — Our veil is in the works! — We booked the second night of accommodations for our minimoon — We took our engagement photos! OF COURSE I will share them with you soon! — I sourced a few more items at the flea – another large frame, another silver cup, and another floral frog — While home in May, I chose a wedding day bracelet from my Mom’s stash! Next up on the list? — We will have our first pre-marital “conversation” with our pastor (his word, not mine). We are very excited about this!! — We have an appointment for John’s tux tailoring — We need to determine our guest list for our rehearsal dinner and confirm our reservation — I hope to have our invitations in hand (whoo!) and start the addressing process! — We need to take another look at our prospective reception menu (it’s been a few months!) and update it before our tasting — Same thing for our floral order – we need to take another look and make any necessary edits before our walk-through with our florist P.S.
