Came across this nifty little piece of art in my searches the other day. I’ve been looking for something to go over my bed, and this might be just the thing! The only downside? It’s priced at $300 at Marmalade, which is a bit out of my budget (expensive or not, they have a few other neat options, too!).
Happily, I think this might be a doable DIY — I’d just need a thick, smooth piece of wood (this one is 36 inches by 36 inches), some cream paint, some black paint, and a stencil set. I’ll let you know if I make an attempt!

I’m loving these teensy paintings I discovered on Etsy last week! They’re very reasonable at about $26 – $44 a piece, depending on the size. I’m particularly smitten with the “Library Ladies” print — I’d love to lean it up against a few books on my bedside table!
Check them all out at the Janet Hill Studio Etsy store!

Since today is the celebration of Washington’s birthday, I thought I’d post an Etsy find that strikes me as a bit patriotic. Aren’t these custom-embroidered maps adorable? Since she’ll stitch a heart around two separate cities, I think they’d be particularly perfect for a long-distance couple…
Find them at the Vintage Refashioned shop!

Did any of you go to summer camp? I went twice, and it was awesome (once I got over the whole homesickness thing). All of my memories came whooshing back when I saw these stunning images from Tracy Turpen, taken at Keystone Camp in Brevard. Aren’t they gorgeous? Her saturated colors and close cropping capture the intimacy and vibrancy of camp life so well. I can’t stop looking at them!

You can see a few more images on Tracy’s blog.
