P&P Christmas, Day 2: Wreaths

4 December 2009

Wreaths are one of my most favorite holiday accents. I love them on doors, on doorknobs, above beds, on cabinets… anywhere, really. To narrow things down a bit, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite door-based options for your viewing pleasure. Some you can DIY, some you can buy, and some are just eye candy. Enjoy, and have a lovely weekend!

Which is your favorite? I think if I had to pick I would say the artichoke wreath, but the image of the cushion moss wreath front door has been one of my favorite Martha images for a loooong time.

Wedding by the Sea

3 December 2009

We’re currently batting around ceremony location possibilities for Kate and Cormac, and this option, from Once Wed, immediately caught my eye. The logistics probably wouldn’t work for the 100+ person wedding they’re planning, but wouldn’t a ceremony on a rock jutting out into the sea be amazing? Not to mention the approach by boat…!

Board No. 59: Eucalyptus, Cream, and Coral

1 December 2009

{Click to enlarge!}

A day late, but here it is: the first P&P Christmas inspiration board! This one is geared more towards home and holiday decor than a wedding — what do you think? The palette (what I’m calling eucalyptus, cream, and coral) is definitely different from your more standard red and green, but I think it could work in the right home, particularly if your year-round decorating palette is on the brighter side. The natural materials (raffia, wood, yarn, burlap) and seaside accents keep things interesting.

The Details
First row, left to right: living room from Better Homes and Gardens, bag from Brides, napkin from BHG

Second row: front door mittens and mantel display from BHG, Advent calendar

Third row: curly cake, stockings, and ornaments from BHG, wooden star garland from Paloma’s Nest

P.S. Sorry I don’t have more exact links for most of these! I’m a Better Homes & Gardens subscriber, and most of these images are locked away in the subscribers-only section of their website.
